Welcome to Glencoe Holiday Apartments, your family-run seaside escape on Paignton’s beautiful Esplanade. Our building features eight self-contained, well-equipped holiday apartments — each designed for comfort and convenience.

Location Highlights
We’re located directly on Paignton’s seafront, less than a 2-minute flat walk to the beach. The harbour, pier, and town centre are within easy walking distance, and both the Paignton train station (including the Dartmouth Steam Railway) and bus/coach station are roughly 7–10 minutes away. Shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues are all nearby — and best of all, there are no hills to climb when coming or going.

Hosts On Site
Your hosts, James & Anna, live on-site and are always happy to help with any questions or requests. Whether you need local recommendations, help with directions, or assistance during your stay, just ring the doorbell or call the number in your welcome folder.

Wi-Fi & Connectivity
All apartments include high-speed Wi-Fi 6 connectivity (900 Mb broadband connection) throughout the building. Network details and passwords are provided in each apartment. The connection is suitable for streaming, browsing, and working remotely.

Parking
Glencoe provides shared private parking at the front of the building, with one allocated space per apartment (marked “Glencoe”). Spaces are suitable for standard cars up to 5 m in length. If you’re bringing an additional or larger vehicle, please contact us before arrival — we’ll do our best to help based on availability.

Shared Amenities
We offer a range of shared items and facilities to make your stay as easy and comfortable as possible:
- 2 Highchairs and 2 Travel Cots – available to hire for a small fee. Booking is essential to ensure availability for your stay.
- Folding Outdoor Chairs – several available for hire; booking in advance is recommended.
- Rear Hose – for rinsing off sand, beach toys, or wetsuits before re-entering the building.
- Smoking Area – located at the rear of the building, with a table and chairs provided for guest use.
- Recycling and Waste Bins – also located at the rear, clearly marked for general waste, recycling, and glass.

Outdoor Area
The front car park faces Paignton Green and the beach. To the rear of the building, guests will find a small seating area with table and chairs, which also serves as the designated smoking area. There is also a rinsing area for removing sand available for guests, and a washing line to dry beachwear, towels, or wetsuits after a day by the sea. Recycling and waste bins are located at the rear of the building for guest use.

Towels & Linen
All apartments are provided with fresh bed linen, duvets and pillows. Bath towels may be available on request — please let us know before arrival if needed. These are for indoor use only and must not be used for the beach or for removing sand. Guests should bring their own beach towels.

Electricity & Heating
Every apartment is powered by a £1 coin-operated electricity meter. This system ensures fair usage (we make no profit from it). Meters are pre-loaded with credit on arrival, and instructions are provided in each apartment. The total cost will depend on your electricity use during your stay.
Each apartment includes electric wall heaters with simple thermostat controls. Instructions for operation are provided in your welcome folder.

Laundry & Cleaning
We don’t have on-site laundry machines, but the Paignton Washeteria is a short 15-minute walk or 4-minute drive away. There’s also a coin laundry service at the nearby Texaco petrol station (5 minutes by car). Guests can use the rear hose for rinsing off sand and sea salt after a beach day.

House Rules
To ensure comfort for all guests:
- No smoking indoors – only in the outdoor designated area at the rear.
- No pets allowed – to maintain an allergy-safe environment.
- Quiet enjoyment – please respect others and keep noise low after 10 : 30 pm.

Safety & Security
Glencoe is equipped with a full fire protection and alarm system, with clearly marked evacuation routes and assembly points shown in each apartment. Please take a moment to review the fire safety notice on arrival.
