Services & Rules
What is the check-in and check-out time?
We’re a small family-run place, and getting each apartment ready to our usual high standard takes a little time. We aim for check-in from 3 pm, but if you’re arriving early, just let us know — we’ll try to prioritise your apartment. If it’s not quite ready when you arrive, we’ll sort your parking permit first and call you as soon as it’s good to go.
Check-out is normally by 9 am when we’re busy, but if things are quieter, 10–10:30 am is often fine. Just check with us the day before so we can let you know what’s possible.
Do you offer housekeeping?
Our apartments are self-catering, so we just ask that you leave things clean and tidy when you go. If you’re staying for more than a week, let us know — we’re happy to refresh your bed linen or drop off clean sheets if you’d prefer to change them yourself.
If you spill something that could mark the carpet or furniture, please tell us straight away — we have the right cleaning products on hand and can treat it quickly before it sets.
Is there a cleaning fee?
No, we don’t charge a standard cleaning fee — we just ask guests to leave the apartment as they found it. If there’s heavy cleaning or damage, we may deduct am amount from the security deposit.
Can I smoke / vape in the apartment or building?
The building is strictly no smoking / vaping in the apartments and the building — there’s a smoking area with seating at the rear of the building allocated for smoking. As we live in the building, we become aware of smoking very quickly. Any instance of smoking is likely to cause your booking contract with us to be cancelled and you maybe asked to leave.
Can I bring a pet?
We are strictly pet free. We unfortunately cannot accommodate assistance animals due to our no-pet policy. The common internal corridors and building access makes this unavoidable due to us having many guests with animal allergies stay with us regularly for this reason alone.
Is parking included?
Yes! Each apartment has one free parking space in the front car park (labelled Glencoe).
If you need an extra space, just ask — we’ll help if we can based on how busy we are.
Do you offer airport or station transfers?
We don’t provide transfers, but Paignton train and bus stations are just a 7-minute walk away. The local taxis have a waiting area outside the station entrance. Else just ask and we can provide a taxi company phone number for you.
Can I have friends visit during my stay?
For safety and insurance reasons, only registered guests can stay or use the facilities.
If you’d like visitors to stop by briefly, just let us know.
Additional Guest Info
How do the electricity meters work?
Each apartment has a £1 coin-operated meter for electricity.
They’re pre-topped before you arrive — just keep a few £1 coins handy for top-ups if needed to ensure the electric stays connected.
Instructions on how to operate are included within the apartments information sheet.
Do you provide travel cots or highchairs?
Yes — we have two travel cots and two highchairs shared between our apartments.
Please book in advance so we can reserve one for you. If you do not pre-book, then we may not have one available for you on arrival.
Can I do laundry on site?
We don’t have Laundry facilities in the building, but Paignton Washeteria (Winner Street) is about a 15-minute walk / 4-minute drive, and there’s also a self-service laundry at the Texaco petrol station on Torquay Road (about 5 minutes by car).
Who do I contact during my stay?
We live right here in the building, so one of us is never far away — though we’re not always in.
You can reach us in several ways: ring the front doorbell, use the internal hallway bell, call us, or email us.
If we don’t pick up straight away, don’t worry — we’ll get back to you as soon as we see your message.
